What the Assessment Includes

Each assessment is designed to provide an accurate diagnosis and supportive, practical guidance. The process typically includes:

    • Patient-led history

    • Detailed collateral history from a family member or close contact

  • Interpretation of existing investigations (e.g. blood tests, ECG, MRI/CT scans)

    Review of existing physical health conditions

    • Standardised tools such as ACE-III, MMSE, MoCA, or equivalent

    • Functional assessment for daily living impact

  • Identification of mood, medications or mental health factors that may mimic or contribute to cognitive changes

  • Based on NICE and UK diagnostic standards

    • Medication and lifestyle management guidance

    • Signposting to social and voluntary support

    • Post-diagnostic counselling & education

    • Support with legal considerations eg Wills, Power of Attorney, Court of Protection and Driving.

  • Duration: 60–90 minutes (in-person)

  • Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas
